8 MINUTES · A GUIDED REFLECTION

A view from your older self

Look beyond today’s pressure without dismissing today’s needs.

WHAT YOU MIGHT LEAVE WITH

A clearer tradeoff between immediate needs and longer-term priorities.

  1. Imagine an older version of yourself looking back with kindness.

Choose an age that feels comfortable. What do you hope they will understand about you now?

  2. What might you wish you had tried?

Consider missed possibilities as well as the things you protected.

  3. What might you be grateful you did not sacrifice?

Care, stability, health, relationships, freedom: courage can also mean preserving something.

  4. What is this perspective unable to tell you?

Future feelings are uncertain. Name facts or lived experiences you still need.

  5. What choice or experiment honors both present and future you?

Do not pressure yourself into a dramatic leap. A considered small step counts.
